Design Engineer
Ipswich £25K - £30K

Design Engineer required for exciting opportunity at Ipswich based manufacturer. Working as part of a dedicated team of designers the successful candidate will be designing and modifying specialist equipment to customers’ specifications and within industry guidelines/standards. The role will involve creating CAD models and 2D detailed drawings, generating and maintaining Bills of Materials, performing engineering calculations, investigating modification requests, assisting with production problems and, in time, being responsible for whole projects. Applicants must have an apprenticeship or be educated to HNC level (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering and have some working experience of CAD Design. Strong modelling ability and CAD package knowledge also required along with a creative approach to problem solving, the ability to work under pressure and excellent communication and analytical skills. A full driving licence required as travel in the UK and overseas may be necessary.

Working on a two shift pattern, Monday to Friday the successful candidate will be programming (using Fanuc control mainly, possibly also Siemens) and setting a wide range of CNC turning centres and CNC sliding head lathes to produce parts. Foreman (Carpenter)

This is a hands on working Supervisor with a biased to carpentry, you will be supervising multi skilled labour on various sites in and around the East Anglia area, as well as hands on carpentry. Plant Production Nursery Supervisor required for nursery near Woodbridge. Due to continued expansion our client is seeking a further member of staff to join their busy and strongly motivated team. The salary is competitive and negotiable dependent upon qualifications and experience with progressive increases and bonuses offered. Working as part of a team organising the propagation and growing of an extensive plant stock, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to have input into their own job design and will have shared responsible for the day to day running of the nursery. This will include organisation of staff to complete the full range of duties e.g. propagation, potting, weeding, pruning, nursery maintenance, pest and disease control. Ideally applicants will have horticultural (or related) experience and will be able to demonstrate an ability and desire to progress to Senior Supervisor if not already at this level.
