Manual Machinist
Ipswich £24K

Manual Machinist required for Ipswich Engineering Company. Duties will involve setting and operating manual milling and turning machinery to assist in the production of specialist machinery.  The successful candidate will have worked in a machine shop previously, ideally hold a recognised engineering qualification and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of processes within a small production environment. Salary £24K, with Overtime paid after 37 hours worked M-F. Press Brake Programmer / Operator
Woodbridge, Suffolk £11.00 - £12.00p/h

Press Brake Programmer / Operator required for permanent position at busy, expanding engineering company based near Woodbridge. Working on a wide range of varied products the successful candidate will take ownership of the Press Brake function and will be interpreting drawings, programming the machinery and folding raw materials. As part of a small team he or she will be responsible for delivering cut, punched and formed parts to the fabrication bays and assembly areas. Other duties will also include, cutting of sections on both manual and CNC saws, cutting of mesh and sheet products on Guillotines and Punch Press operation. Previous Press Brake experience is essential and applicants must have the ability to set the machinery. Refrigeration Technical Support Engineer
Ipswich c£35k per annum

Refrigeration Technical Support Engineer required for rapidly expanding, market leading company based in Ipswich. Our client is part of a renowned global organisation and this role offers an excellent opportunity to join the company at an exciting time of sustained growth and expansion. The successful candidate’s duties will include: • Supervise Service Engineers and be main point of contact for key account customers for technical support. • Provide technical back up to design with developing new products ensuring serviceability. • Provide onsite training for engineers and customers. • Provide support to engineers and contractors both by telephone and site visits. • Be responsible for ensuring technical bulletins are issued and the correct supporting document manuals are correct. • Write pack programs for new products. Applicants will ideally have a minimum of 10 years experience on commercial refrigeration. Be fully conversant with control systems including RDM, Carel, Danfoss and be able to create programs from scratch along with knowledge of Co2, HFC and Flammable refrigerants. Electrical Control Design Engineer

Electrical Control Design Engineer required for small successful manufacturing, repair and distributor based in Needham Market. The role will support the activities of the team by providing electrical control panel design, assistance with setting up and programming controllers, hands on practical assistance in the workshop and technical support to our clients and customers. The role will also require onsite customer support from time to time to assist with set up and oversee commissioning. The successful candidate must have 2-3 years experience of electrical control panel design, build and test, with additional experience in programming controllers, Inverters and PLC`s (RDM, Dixell, Danfoss, Carel and similar). CNC Turner Programmer

CNC Turner Programmer required for our well established client based in Colchester. The successful candidate will responsible for Programming (from the panel), operating and setting CNC turning machines with MAZAK or FANUC control. For this role CNC Turner must be able to program the machine from the panel in Mazak or Fanuc environment. Candidate must also have experience in using manual measuring equipment and very good practical knowledge of technical drawings. Additional experience on CNC milling will be seen as advantage. The successful candidate will be programming, setting and operating Twin Headed Boring Machine. Buildings Test Technician
Ipswich £28 - £30K

Air Leakage Test Technician required for permanent position at Ipswich based company. Full training will be given for this interesting and varied role which involves daily travel to customers predominantly in the East of England. The successful candidate will be setting up and operating fan sets to pressurise domestic and commercial buildings and performing air tests on site. Leakage paths are then identified and advice given on how to seal these and convert an air test from fail to pass. Applicants must have a construction, engineering or fire sealing background and be educated to a minimum of ‘A’ Level standard (or equivalent) in Maths and/or Physics and be able to perform area calculations and read technical drawings. Good customer service skills are essential along with a practical, problem-solving nature and, ideally, an interest/understanding of environmental issues. A full clean driving licence is also required. Salary from £20K to £22K with overtime after training of up to £8K p/a. Company vehicle and phone provided.

Production / Manufacturing Engineer

Production/Manufacturing Engineer required for rapidly expanding, market leading company based in Ipswich. Our client is part of a renowned global organisation and this role offers an excellent opportunity to join the company at an exciting time of sustained growth and expansion. The successful candidate’s duties will include: • Assisting the production team in creating balanced lines with the flexibility to change dependant on current customer requirements • Working with manufacturing and supply teams on all issues and problems of a technical nature, driving these to full root cause with sustainable corrective actions in place • Assisting the shop floor in identifying opportunities to create jigs and fixtures and driving the project through to completion • Actively participating in “continuous improvement” projects including; process mapping, improving product flow and improving general shop floor organisation • Preparing cost analysis and justification for new products and product improvements • Creating manufacturing support documents work instructions/standard operating procedures and control plans • Proactively working with the design team to support the introduction of new and existing products • Undertaking detailed time studies for repeat manufacturing processes. Record and document all time study work and use this for recommendations as part of continuous improvement activity Applicants will ideally have a minimum of HNC (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline and will have previously worked in a similar role with knowledge and experience of implementing lean manufacturing principles. Salary £25 – 30K depending on experience.
